WWSC is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to running holiday camps for kids & youths. Our aim is to give our children a chance to experience life as it should be.
Among our volunteers are parents with children, and so we share every parent’s deep concerns about their child’s safety & nutritional intake during camp.
Our Kitchen Team spends a majority of their time planning around every child’s needs to have a yummy and healthy meal with a full day of land & river activities for all 3 camps.
Our River Safety Department undergoes weekly land & water training and familiarize themselves with the safest river routes to travel.
We have been growing! We have expanded from having one camp with 4 tribes in 2012 to now running three camps with 28 tribes in total.
How can you make THIS happen?
WWSC runs mainly through the hard work & passion of our 150 staff volunteers. Volunteers spend their time & money to make WWSC happen.
River, kitchen and accommodation equipment are required to be procured and maintained every year to ensure proper safety & nutrition is provided for each camper. Our expenditure includes:
- RM52,160 to expand kitchen facilities to meet the needs of a growing camp and feed 200 mouths daily.
- RM11,510 to purchase and maintain river safety equipment.
